Jimmy Dougan has contacted the club to advise that he has just cleared out a Fiat dealership that closed in the early 1990’s. He has a selection of parts from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Jimmy would prefer to sell any parts locally for the benefit of cars in Northern Ireland before seeking to sell them further afield. Essentially he has a complete parts department with items including air and oil filters, oil pumps, switches, complete clutches, complete exhaust systems, starter motors, alternators, door skins, glass, suspension parts and many more items. Fiat models that Jimmy has parts for include Fiat 126,127, 128, 131, Regata, Strada, Uno and X/19. If any club members are interested please contact Jimmy on 07771 795133 or via e-mail - jimmy917@hotmail.co.uk . The parts are located near Killyleagh.

Cyril,
Thanks for your kind words - as you know it is never a hardship for me to take my camera with me for a few snaps. Occasionally a few of the photos are even in focus!! I echo your sentiments on James organising a great weekend - just a pity for James that he can't remember half of it (nuff said!!)

Dear All,
A guy called Jonathan Mitchell would like to know if any club members could help him out - he is looking for a year 2000 Fiat Bravo that is being broken for parts.
If anyone can help Jonathan or point him in the right direction his mobile phone number is 07415 581875.
Thanks
Tim

Dear All, The Club Chairman has asked me to remind everyone to bring their NIIMC polo shirt with them tomorrow. Ideally if you can wear it when driving down then you can take it off on arrival at the hotel - no doubt you will want to change into your slacks and sports shirt for the evening!! You can then wear your polo shirt again for the main event on Sunday. If you don't fancy wearing it twice cos you may not be fragrant enough then please keep it fresh for the Sunday. And don't forget to bring plenty of euro - the Club Chairman says that once he hangs his driving gloves up on Saturday he is happy to accept pints of guinness at the hotel bar!! Thanks Tim

Sorry, I am only seeing your post now. I don't know about the pedigree of the drivers and I didn't manage to take a race up to Donnelly's myself. Did you get a spare hour to nip up?

Dear All,
I attach below the text of an e-mail I have received from Lauren Brown from Donnelly's regarding an event this weekend at the Alfa showroom in Mallusk.
"I hope you are keeping very well! I wanted to extend an invitation to you and the NIIMC to our upcoming Alfa Romeo Pro Driver Event we are holding next Friday 24th & Saturday 25th July 2015 should you be interested in coming along.
Depending on your availability, we would love for you to have the chance to pop in with the team in Mallusk for an hour or so to test drive a couple of the vehicles with our impartial ex-professional driver who will be there to enhance the experience. There will be a selection of six models to road test including the TCT Twin Clutch Automatic Transmission across both the MiTo and Guilietta ranges.
Please feel free to drop me a note or give me a call to discuss further if you would be interested in attending – it would be great if you wouldn’t mind sharing this with the other members of the NIIMC, I know the team in Mallusk would love to catch up if anyone would be interested in dropping in.
Kind Regards
Lauren"
Lauren has advised that if any of us would like to attend and have an idea of what time we will be there to send her an e-mail so she can ensure that there is car and driver availability for us. Lauren's e-mail address is - lauren.brown@donnellygroup.co.uk if you would like to contact her for further information.

Graham,
Did you make it to Kilbroney last Saturday? I saw a few photos on line - looked like a big turnout as usual. Any stylish Italian vehicles there?

James,
As discussed I am definitely going. I've mentioned it to my brother and his wife and they hope to go too in Claire's Abarth.

I agree with the comments regarding two days in a row on 13th and 14th June. On that basis 28th June would potentially suit me better. It's a few days before I go on holiday so will need to work up a few brownie points with the Ministry of Home Affairs!!

Dear All, The Club Chairman asked me this evening to put a post on the forum to encourage Club Members to attend the Karting Event that Mervyn Shannon has organised at Lyons Karting, 112 Comber Road, Hillsborough on 9th June. www.lyonskarting.co.ukI'm told that the event will start after 6pm and will cost £30. Mervyn is organising food for those attending (pizza I think) and the racing format will depend on how many people turn up. I know that this event was discussed at last week's club meeting so some members will already be aware but for others I apologise for the late notice. Hopefully some of you can make it. Tim

Reinis Babrovski has done us proud again and taken a selection of stunning photographs at our show on Saturday. I attach the link to his website where you can view the photos and read his write up of the show. www.reinisb.comIt is very pleasing to note that he described our show as one of the finest automotive events in the country. Can I take the opportunity to say a big thank you to all the club members and other helpers on the day whose efforts ensured that our show was another resounding success. As ever it is a team effort and more and more people each year are making sure that they keep the date of our show free in their diaries as an event that is not to be missed. Tim

Cyril will be delighted that his beloved Panda has gone to a fellow enthusiast. It's certainly a car that will get you noticed - the subtle colour scheme (which I love) will see to that. Please do try to get along to our show this Saturday. It promises to be a great event and it has just been confirmed that the Abarth UK Area Manager will be bringing an Abarth Biposto along. Tim

BOVC are holding a Classic Car Display on Sunday 26th April 2015 from 11am to 5pm at Warren Park Car Park (opposite Lagan Valley Hospital A1 Hillsborough Road, Lisburn BT28 1JP). All classic cars, rally cars, exotic cars, military and commercial vehicles are welcome . Last year we attended this event as a club and we had a reasonable turnout of 8-10 cars. The organisers would be happy for us to attend again this year and so I am looking for an indication of the number of vehicles we are likely to bring along.
Can you therefore please reply to this thread and let me know, ideally by next weekend so that I can let the BOVC contact know how many spaces to reserve for us. This event will be a good opportunity for us to spread the word about our own show at the end of May and hopefully we might even have taken delivery of our new liveried gazebo which we can bring with us (no pressure Simon and Cyril). There is no set entry fee for cars being displayed but all donations in lieu of entry fee will go to the NI Children’s Hospice.
