Bank Holiday Weekend Run to the Italian 100 in Sligo

Lots of interest again last night and sounds like at least 5 or 6 more will be going. If you could add your name to this post, please, to say you're going (or even to say you're still unsure due to holidays etc. or definitely unable to go) this will give us a better idea of numbers.

Would be good to lend our support to the guys from the South, especially as so many of them make the effort to attend our show every year.

We writing to extent a warm invitation to all Italian vehicle owners and enthusiasts alike, to join us at this year's Italian 100 event, which will be held over the weekend of the Friday 28th – Sunday 30th August 2015. This event is open to Italian vehicles of any make, model & age!
This year it's the turn of Classic FIAT Ireland to host the Italian 100 event and we have chosen the beautiful sea side village of Strandhill in Sligo, as the venue for the show.

The Italian 100 also coincides with with the annual Classic FIAT weekend, with a scenic run and events on planned for Saturday 29th, and the main show held in Strandhill on Sunday 30th.

Our "Targa Sligo" run will leave the Yeats County Hotel in Rosses Point at 10:30am on Saturday 29th. The drive will take scenic route through north county Sligo and parts of "Lovely Leitrim", taking in breathtaking scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way, as well as historical sites. Thanks to the support of Joe Corcoran, Sligo Airport General Manager, the grounds and terminal building will provide the venue for this year's show. The Italian 100 will be held between 11am - 4pm on Sunday 30th August.
Entry to the show is free for both entrants and public alike. All entrants with Italian vehicles (first 100 or so anyway) will receive a complimentary meal voucher and gift, thanks to our main sponsor Henderson Garage Door Systems. There will be prizes on the day for Car of Show, Best Original Irish Car and Further Travelled.

We would ask all entrants to be in place before 11am.
This year's show will be in support of the Sligo Branch of the Irish Kidney Association. A raffle will be held, with members also accepting donations on the day. The show will be run along side the popular People's market, which showcases local businesses and specialty food retailers, ensuring plenty of variety for those attending the main show.There will also be entertainment for younger members of the family, with three different sizes of Bouncy Castle.

Sligo Aero club are also on hand the day of the Italian 100, to provide an opportunity to entrants to partake of a flying lesson over Strandhill and Sligo Bay.

This would be genuine flying lesson, during which the participant can actually flight the aircraft. There will be a short pre-flight briefing, at which the participant will take a "one day" membership of Sligo Aero club. It's proposed that the flights will be approximately 20-25 minutes in duration.
The total cost is €75. Pre-booking is essential. We need to confirm numbers with Sligo Aero Club in advance, in order to determine the number of aircraft and personal required for the day. There is a maximum number of 10 individual lessons available, and will be on a "first come, first served" basis.
